Preserving Audiovisual History

Our mission statement is to discover, record and preserve the audiovisual history of the aircraft, machines and people we come across, and to do it while we can — because often you only get one chance to record history as it's happening. We're passionate about the machines (and topics) we film, so the material we produce is for enthusiasts, by enthusiasts! Join us on this awesome journey

New Zealand Rail Scene subscribers and other rail enthusiasts can help us preserve some older railway and steam videos by supporting the channel, and providing a worthwhile outlet for NZRS's older historical material and video footage.

What's so special about HMTV?

Historical Machines TV has a publishing arrangement with Majik Video Systems (producer of the NZ Rail Scene series) to bring you a number of older NZ Rail Scene films (i.e. DVD releases) on the platform. If rail enthusiasts embrace the inclusion of this material on HTMV, then it's likley we will be able to provide more of it in future...

Additionally we're interested in all sorts of other stuff—cars, planes, military vehicles, history, fast boats—and we love to share our interests with other people. Let us entertain you with a variety of material, not just a single topic or genre!
